Co-Chairperson - Geoff Donovan
Geoff Donovan works in Treasury and was previously
in the former DSIR and Ministry of Works and
development. He is a member of Johnsonville Uniting Parish and has been in in a Cooperative Venture since 1971. At various times he has been treasurer, parish council secretary, peresbytery elder, convened parish council committees and has just completed another term as a parish councilor. He has been a member of Wellington JRC since 1992 and is currently its Chairperson. He has attended most of the Forum meetings.
Geoff finds that being in a CV is exciting as it seeks to proclaim the gospel of Christ. His aim is to help Standing Committee as it seeks to facilitate a closer working together with the Partner Churches for a smoother operation of CVs in their mission for Christ.
Co-Chairperson Janet Taege
Janet Tage has served on Standing Committee since 2001, she has a very strong interest in the Ecumenical Movement, especially in rural areas, with a desire to see closer unitied links with all Partner Churches. Janet is a past Chairperson of North Canterbury JRC, and a member of Malvern Co-operating Parish where she is an elder and convenor of the Pastrol Team on Parish Council, as well as parish representative at Christchurch Presbytery. Janet is an accredited lay preacher and a member and officer of the order of St John with 43 years service. Janet is married to Graham and they have for children and they are new grandparents. Janet is involved with music in the community, and her interests are reading , gardening, travelling and handcrafts.
Executive Officer - Peter MacKenzie
Peter was appointed as Executive Officer in January 2008. He has been a parish minister for over 20 years, serving in Cheviot, Rosetown (in Saskatechewan, Canada), Oamaru and Johnsonville. Peter takes great delight in leading worship and his background in community drama is definitely noticeable. He is enthusiastic about story-telling and believes that congregations need to find new ways of telling the story of Christ to their communities.
